I have been getting emails from Blogger saying they cannot use my credit card to renew my domain name. The card had expired, so I updated it last month and now Blogger is sending me the same email. If my blog disappears, it will be their doing, not mine. I have corrected the payment information - what else can I do? Have any of you had this happen? Any suggestions?

I have no idea...but please make sure to backup your blog.
ReplyDeleteStandby and I'll post and ask for help.
DeleteThanks Stephen. And I'll back up this morning.
DeleteRed. The same thing happened to me with GO DADDY.COM. I then went to the use of FREE blogger. When you think about it, there's really no reason to pay for that which is free to all. Blogspot.com
ReplyDeletewill get you up and running.
I am so sorry. I know how helpless we are when trying to deal with the invisible internet domains.
lotta joy,
DeleteMy blog started as a BlogSpot.com blog, but then I purchased my domain name. The weird thing is that I'm paid up until December and they are bugging me now. I wonder if this is not some kind of phishing email and not the real thing at all.

Rural Revolution ( http://www.rural-revolution.com/ ) just had what I suspect is the same problem, you might see if she has any suggestions on what worked for her.
ReplyDeleteRed, I agree with Ruth. Patrice at Rural Revolution just had the same thing happen to her. It took her weeks/months to get it straightened out. I would eontact her. She actually found a direct contact at Google to contact. Good luck. Otherwise, just keep using blogger.
ReplyDeleteRuth and Katy,
DeleteThanks. I will shoot her an email and see if she has any words of wisdom.
I was going to tell you about Patrice's problem at Rural Revolution also. Your problem sounds very similar to hers.
DeleteThank you Mary. Hopefully I will get to the bottom of this soon.
